Aberlemno
Aberlemno
is a small village in Angus, northeast of Forfar.
In the churchyard is a Pictish cross-slab, about 6ft in height,
sculpted on one side with a cross and animals and on the other
with a battle scene, thought to be Nechtansmere. Nearby, on
the road between Forfar and Rrechin, are 3 other Pictish carved
stones, including another great cross—slab. They are all
in the care
of Historic Scotland and are covered in winter.
