Tour Armadale

Armadale is a wee settlement on the Skye side of the Sound of Sleat, with a good ferry to Mallaig (now summer only ferry). The ruins of the 19th century Armadale Castle, seat of the Macdonalds of Sleat, now contain the Clan Donald Centre. In the surrounding woodland there is a 19th century collection of exotic trees.
