Distillery at Dufftown, near Elgin, founded in 1892. Balvenie
is one nf the few single malts tn be supplied by its own maltings,
using largely home grown barley, coppersmith and cooperage.
Beside the distillery is the ruined medieval Balvenie
Castle, originally of the Comyns.
