Cooking, Butter Tart
1/2
c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. water
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. Karo
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 c. raisins and a few more
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Bring brown sugar, water, butter and Karo to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon
vanilla.
Beat
1 egg and add cooked mixture slowly by tablespoon to the egg.
Add raisins and nuts. Put in pastry tart shells. Bake at 425
degrees for 4 minutes then at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes
1 dozen.
