He started building the cathedral nave on 27 April 1406 He was buried in the Chapel of St Ninian at the east end of the nave south aisle, where his tomb still stands. He also glazed the choir windows and bought new ornaments for the services.

He glazed the windows of the Lady Chapel, which he had endowed.

He provided stone for the continued building.

THOMAS LAUDER 1452-75
He completed the nave and glazed its windows, it was dedicated by him in 1464. He provided many furnishings and ornaments. He started building the chapter house on 14 April 1457, and the tower on 5 March 1469. He also built the south porch.

He endowed the Chapel of St Catherine, and completed the tower.

He founded many altars and was a prolific provider of furnishings and ornaments for the cathedral services.

He was later successively Bishop of Galloway Archbishop of Glasgow and Archbishop of St Andrews.
