If you're in Scotland on vacation, visit one of the Folk Clubs listed below. You will find a friendly welcome and the chance to hear some wonderful music. Apart from the Clubs shown below you should check the local paper in the area you are visiting, or simplest of all, just ask the local Scots.

Kelso Folk Club
This club meets every friday at 8.30 pm in the Red Lion pub in Kelso. Situated behind the Cross Keys Hotel and a 2 minute walk from the town square. The sessions are free and informal with a mix of Scottish, Irish and American music on offer. Age is restricted to over 16's.

Entry is free as it is heavily subsidised by the pub (who are to be congratulated for doing so). The club is held in the back room of the pub and is away from the bar and the chattering classes. It has a very informal atmosphere and a good listening audience.
