Kingsbarns
Golf Breaks, Kingsbarns Golf Links is links golf of the
highest order, and this time the links are man-made! Californians
Kyle Phillips and Mark Parsinen have painstakingly created
a superlative route in which the sea is never out of sight
and six holes actually skirt it. Kingsbarns, a triumph of
ingenuity, artistry, and nature, is very probably the best
course to open in Scotland since Turnberry was rebuilt after
World War II. 18 holes. Par 72. 7,126 yds. Links. Kingsbarns
Golf Breaks.

The forming of the Kingsbarns Golfing Society in 1793 began the village's long association with golf, with the course, laid upon land leased from the Cambo Estate, being in use until around 1850 when it was returned to farming. In 1922, Kingsbarns Golf Club was founded, and a nine hole course designed by Willie Auchterlonie was laid out, but in 1939 the land was again returned to farming as an aid to the war effort.
