Why
do it ?
Developed
by John, Chief Instructor and Co-Owner of Nae
Limits, cliff jumping developed during summer training for
Freestyle skiing. Cliff jumping trip starts with a wee scramble
into a beautiful gorge. After a short paddle/swim, we take you
to a natural rock chute for our first bit of fun. The chute
is a huge slab of rock, made wet to ensure you have a fantastic
slide! Depending on how much adrenaline you desire, you can
either just sit and slide, or to be a bit more extreme, you
can even lie on your back and go head first. It is up to you!
We then
take you to the first of our cliff jumping points where you
will be taught the correct techniques for launching and entering
the water correctly. Our technique has been tried and tested
many times and has now been taken on as part of the new guidelines
and regulations for cliff jumping around the UK. You could say
we re-wrote the handbook!
Our instructors
will watch how you jump, and if they feel that your technique
is good enough, they will take you to the next level of jumping.
Our first jumps are about 1 metre above the water. Our biggest
jump is around 20 metres! How extreme do you want to go?
