is ideal for walking holidays. Perthshire can offer every type
of walking experience, from gentle strolls along riverside paths
to harder day treks on magnificent Mountains and long distance
trails. Dunkeld is an excellent location for walking much of
Perthshire with eight local Dunkeld walks, ranging from 3 to
nearly 7 miles, total 36 miles in all. Each walk has its own
distinct character and each gives a unique insight into the
landscape, flora and fauna of Perthshire.

30 miles of way-marked trails have been developed to help you
discover the fascinating history and wildlife of this working
landscape. A variety of distances, and types of walk are available
plus a similar "Cycle Routes from Blair Atholl" brochure
documents 40 miles routes between the Tilt and Bruar glens,
with many circular routes.

Forest Park. Tay Forest Park includes some of the most scenic
areas in Highland Perthshire, where a favourable climate and
rich soil have nurtured Scotland's finest forests. To find the
walks you want, you can either search by the name of the forest
or nearest town, or search by the country or county. You can
also search by facility and/or by grade of route.
Long
Distance Walks
The
Cateran Trail is a delightful 100km (60 mile) walk set in
the Perthshire Highlands of Scotland.
The
Rob Roy Way is a stunning seven day walk and follow in the
footsteps of the notorious Rob Roy MacGregor by walking the
Rob Roy Way.
