Robert
Adam
(172892)
Architect
Born in Kirkcaldy to a family of architects: his father and
three brothers all went into the profession. Adams neoclassical
work, with its unified exteriors and interiors, was fashionable
in its day and has recently again been recognised as the work
of genius. Some of his buildings include Culzean Castle in Ayrshire
and Charlotte Square in Edinburgh.
Robert
Adam This volume provides an examination of the life and
work of renowned Scottish architect Robert Adam, perhaps best
known for his fireplace designs.
