look forward to welcoming you over the Scottish New Year festivities.
We are a family run hotel with lively, friendly staff, some
far from home, and it is our aim that everyone relaxes and
enjoys themselves over the festive period, in an enjoyable
and homely atmosphere.
Thursday
30th December
2004
Arrive to be greeted with a glass of Sherry and a piece of
home made black bun. Settle into your room and dinner tonight
will be served from 7pm until 8.45pm. On return, mulled wine
will be served for all those who ventured out.
Friday
31st December 2004
Breakfast this morning will be from 8.30am until 10.00am.
You have the morning to relax. A light buffet will be served
in residents lounge on the first floor at 1.00pm. This afternoon
join the guided tour of Dunkeld with Catriona and Max. Meet
in the entrance hall at 2.30pm.
Dinner
tonight will be a traditional four course Scottish Dinner
served at 7.30pm in the Function Hall. After dinner, join
Ian Anderson, a local and well-known accordionist and friends
in the Function Hall for a Traditional Scottish Hogmanay together
with a glass of bubbly. Stovies will be served at 11.00pm.
Saturday 1st January 2005
Brunch will be served from 11.00am to 12 noon accompanied
by a chilled Bucks Fizz - hair of the dog. For those still
fit, there will be a Treasure Hunt around Dunkeld and Birnam
- weather permitting. Pick up your entry form and collecting
bag from the Reception Desk around 12.30. Dinner this evening
will be served in the Restaurant at 7.00pm. After dinner you
are invited to join our evening entertainmant with the Martin
Brothers.
Saturday
2nd January 2005
After breakfast served from 8.30am to 10.00am, it is time
to say goodbye and start your journey home. We hope you have
enjoyed your stay with us and Haste Ye Back!
The
Royal Dunkeld Hotel was originally
built in 1815
as a coaching inn. Over the years, it has developed into
a friendly comfortable 3 star hotel in the middle of the
picturesque and historic village of Dunkeld on the banks
of the River Tay. There are many attractions including the
Cathedral and Hermitage, at this ‘Gateway to the Highlands,
with wonderful walks in the surrounding hills and forests.
Golfers are catered with many Perthshire courses within easy
reach, especially the Dunkeld and Birnam Golf Club. Good food
in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.All
