oz. (100 g.) self-raising flour.
1/2 oz. (15 g.) butter.
1/2 oz. (15 g.) caster sugar.
1/4 pint (125 ml.) milk.
2 eggs.
Method
Mix the flour and sugar together. Rub in the butter. Lightly
beat the egg. Mix the egg and milk with the flour mixture, keeping
the batter smooth. Drop spoonfuls on to a hot girdle. When brown
on one side, turn and cook on the other side. Cool in a towel.
