Scottish
Kale Soup

cup barley.
1/2 lb fresh beef.
2
leeks.
Kale.
Salt.
Water.
Method
Put
the barley in cold water and bring to the boil.
Remove any scum. Chop the beef finely and add to the soup pot
with a little salt. Boil for 3 hours. Chop the kale and leeks
and add to the soup. Continue boiling until the greens are tender.
Season to taste.
