Schools, the University Campus & the City of Stirling -
Over the years the courses have attracted thousands of participants
wishing to experience the rich cultural heritage of Scotland.
They are located on or very close to the University campus,
which is situated on the 360 acre Airthrey Estate and is one
of the most beautiful in Europe. All residential and catering
facilities are on the campus which offers a wide range of recreational
facilities including heatre/cinema/golf and swimming. The subjects
are all taught by knowledgeable and experienced tutors - many
of whom are leading experts in their fields. Most of the Schools
incorporate practical or participative elements which complement
the presentations by tutors. Summer Academy type courses are
highlighted above and include a combination of lectures, discussions,
field trips and excursions to various places of local interest
along with opportunities to take part in evening activities
such as a visit to the campus swimming pool/pitch and putt and
campus golf course and some Scottish music and dance performances
in the City of Stirling.
