Shieldaig is a village in Wester Ross in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland. The name of the village is a Viking word meaning loch of the herring which no longer populate the bay in large numbers. Shieldaig is a perfect location for touring Wester Ross and exploring the nearby Torridon Mountains.
